After witnessing a monster brutally attack and nearly kill her mother, Alia struggles to cope with the experience, and the terrifying visions that follow.
Alia leaves her Uncle's home in Eramosa to move to bustling Ash City, and becomes a waitress in the most prominent celebrity hotel in the state.
Shortly after her twenty-first birthday, another life-changing event leads her to the long-awaited answers she’s been searching for, and opens her eyes to a realm she never knew existed.
And will undoubtedly never forget.
Eric is a vampire and a sworn Ward of Ash City. Though, he couldn't care less about the title, or the responsibilities that accompany it. He believes that there is nothing to life that holds any real significance or meaning anymore. After almost four hundred years of sameness, he's ready to end his existence.
He secretly yearns to find companionship and love again, but after experiencing heartbreak, after betrayal, after heartbreak, he has convinced himself that love is not in his future.
Until he meets Alia.
Lucien is the eldest living Wynter member, and the vampire sire of the family.
Of his siblings, he is most connected with ruling supernatural council, the Accords. He is the self-appointed patriarch of the family and has aligned himself with the Accords to gather their favour towards his family.
He has carried a life-changing secret on his shoulders for decades.
A secret that could tear his family apart, and possibly be the end of their world as they know it.
Ana is as beautiful, and as tough, as a diamond. She is the middle of the three Wynter vampires, and the business tycoon of the family. Ana tries to keep herself out of the drama, but always keeps her mind on the game.
She looks up to her older bother Lucien, and is indebted to him for saving her life hundreds of years ago. She follows in her older brother's footsteps and tries to not let their youngest brother, Eric, get in the way.
She has one job, to ensure Eric stays out of Ash, and as far from his destiny as possible.
A wolf with a vengeance, Kadri is tired of playing lap-dog to the Alpha and the rest of the council.
Because of the Accords, he has lost the only person he ever truly loved, Eric Wynter.
Now that Eric has returned to Ash City, he wants nothing more than to be with him again. He wants a chance to right the wrongs that were done years ago.
If only he hadn't betrayed Eric, and broken his heart in the process.
Best friend and roommate, Miranda only has Alia's best interests at heart. She has been Alia's friend ever since they moved into their Ash City apartment together, and has supported her in coping with her mental health issues.
Miranda has always encouraged Alia to allow herself to enjoy the little things in life, and to step outside of her comfort zone every one in a while.
A "ride-or-die" friend, Miranda remains at Alia's side through thick and thin, for better and for worse.
Omg!!! I need more of this book!!!! Amazing read!! ❤️
I don't normally enjoy vampires being one of the main characters but I'm loving this story and definitely Eric!!!!
A very enjoyable read! The author introduces us to a young woman Alia, her life, and friends with skill and ease. Making the reader comfortable right away. Just as Alia's story starts to get going, a dramatic shift in mood and characters pivot the reader to another world. Eric and his family are mysterious and privileged, as well as vampires. Eric's dark story starts to merge with Alia's, contrasting worlds, while sharing many similarities. There are hints that Alia is more than just a human, but she is unaware of any of this. Very layered and interesting. I can't wait for more.
You paint a beautiful vision of what is happening or has happened to the main character and her pain/anguish.
It's official: I'm HOOKED! Original, character-driven plot, love, all kinds of supernatural beings...what's not to love? This story hooked me from the beginning and did not let up!
It's beautiful! The plot, the writing, the setting- everything is perfect. Your sense of growth is also amazing. Just keep going like this and you're going to be a famous author.
So far I really liked it. The details are amazing.
