After a failed attempt to end her life, Alia Carter leaves her childhood home to become a waitress in the state's most prominent hotel. Traumatized after her mother’s death, she silently grapples with her pain until she saves the life of a mysterious man who reveals to her a world of true magic, and terrifying wonder.
Eric Wynter is a vampire Ward sworn to protect the creatures of the city. After centuries of heartache and loneliness, he is finally ready to end his existence.
When fate brings them together, Alia is irresistibly drawn into Eric’s world, where witches and vampires are more than childish bedtime stories. Together, they discover she too has an incredible power running through her veins. A power so rare, every creature in the city will kill to get their share of it...
Will Alia allow Eric into her life, and into her heart?
Will Eric be able to defy destiny and keep those he loves safe?
The Eos Key is a dark and magical story that will keep you spellbound long after the last page.
The Eos Key: A Wynter Blood Novel by D.M. Lewry is the first book out of the Wynter Blood series that follows the fated couple Alia Carter and Eric Wynter--a vampire and a witch to put it plainly. This story really packs a punch. This story gives action, love, power, greed, sadness, and hope in a fantastical world with a lovely Black MC.
Alia and Eric are phenomenal characters who had me sliding to turn the page like I was playing Candy Crush😂 There are some dark issues incorporated, so this is definitely for a mature audience! I’ll be waiting for part 2 at the 🚪 🧛🏾♂️🧙🏾📚📚
This would be a treat for fans of twilight and the vampire diaries, as many aspects from their worlds I felt have been woven into the story. It was almost a walk down memory lane. :') (good old days eh?)
The thing I loved most about the book was the authenticity of Alia, the main character. Many of the mental health issues she struggled with were reflected in her choices & so many times I felt like I was looking in a mirror. I truly felt like the choices she made make sense for where she was mentally. I loved her relationship with Eric! I ship them hard as hell. The ending left me in pieces and I can’t want to pick them back up again whenever we get book number 2! Rating: ★★★★★ Spice: 🌶
The protagonist is a treat to read as she's so complicated and at times even frustrating but I think that's what makes you connect better with her. I commend the author for portraying mental health topics in such an honest manner. I haven't come across many fantasy books that do so; it made me connect and relate to the main lead better. There were parts of myself that I could see in her.
For all my fantasy readers, this is the book for you!✨💫 D.M. Lewry packs a punch with her debut novel about a young girl that faces intense turmoil, until she encounters a vampire named Eric Wynter, who changes her life forever. This story kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, and the amazing imagery made me feel like I was apart of the characters’ world. Lewry’s writing allows you to get lost in the magic of the fantasy world she has created. I did not want to put this book down! Be on the look out for the release of The Eos Key: Book 1! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5
Ya'll know I don't really like vampire stories, but this book had me on the edge. The plot is amazingly written and starts at the point where she has literally just found out about the supernatural world around her. I really want to read on and will eagerly wait for more. Amazing! Can’t wait for more! 😀
A very enjoyable read! The author introduces us to a young woman Alia, her life, and friends with skill and ease. Making the reader comfortable right away. Just as Alia's story starts to get going, a dramatic shift in mood and characters pivot the reader to another world. Eric and his family are mysterious and privileged, as well as vampires. Eric's dark story starts to merge with Alia's, contrasting worlds, while sharing many similarities. There are hints that Alia is more than just a human, but she is unaware of any of this. Very layered and interesting. I can't wait for more.
Omg!!! I need more of this book!!!! Amazing read!! ❤️
I don't normally enjoy vampires being one of the main characters but I'm loving this story and definitely Eric!!!!
You paint a beautiful vision of what is happening or has happened to the main character and her pain/anguish.
WOW, Bravo👏🏽👏🏽 the author did a fantastic job with this book. I thought I was watching a movie... sitting at the end of my seat waiting and anticipating the characters next move... The suspense, the cliffhanger had me on edge throughout the story. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us. It was a pleasure reading (the 1st draft of) this book and I wish the author success with her writing career. Cheers 🥂 P.S. Thanks for creating Alia... Not often, you see her in these types of stories.❤
This was a good story and well written. I enjoyed how it begins immediately with a calamity (one of my favorite styles of introducing a story) and I liked how the protagonist was African American like me. I’ve read some stories mostly romances with Black characters, but it’s more rarer for Blacks to star in fantasy type novels. (Though this is a romance novel too.) D.M. Lewry’s ‘The Eos Key’ is worth the wait.
It's official: I'm HOOKED! Original, character-driven plot, love, all kinds of supernatural beings...what's not to love? This story hooked me from the beginning and did not let up!
It's beautiful! The plot, the writing, the setting- everything is perfect. Your sense of growth is also amazing.
I enjoyed the unique story-line, the plot was well thought out. A good read.
I loved the book it had me on the edge of my seat every chapter. The romance the drama the action was all well tied into each other and made for an excellent read. Keep up the good work I can’t wait to find out what’s next for Eric and Alia.
